Majestic Elegance

May 29, 2023- Dream Destination. Have you considered the Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres in beautiful Mexico. This 5 Star resort is located north of Cancun and is the up-and-coming tourist destination in Mexico. Situated along the Yucatan Peninsula. Many different airlines fly into Cancun, so when it comes to getting there, you have many options. This is an all-inclusive property and when booking in Canada, usually the package includes flight, transfers, and accommodations.  If by chance you are piecing your package yourself, then may I suggest GOMAJESTIC for your transfers to and from the airport and for any excursions you may want to take while at your destination.

This beautiful 570 room resort has a family section along with an adult only section. I had the opportunity to stay in the Club section Adult only, however being around the property I did see children, but they were not everywhere. The resort was opened in 2019 and is new and the immunities are up to date. Your wristband is your room key. If lost there is a charge of $90 USD. to replace it, however, I did not hear of anyone losing while I was there. The wrist band looks more like a noted bracelet with the resort logo as it centerpiece and the reader is imbedded with the centerpiece. It is very stylish.

Upon arrival at the resort, you will be greeted by a bellhop who will tag your luggage and give you a receipt. You then enter this grand lobby and approach the check-in counter where you will be greeted by a smiling reservation agent who will make a copy of your passport, finalize your check-in, and present you with keys.

There are various room categories, and your room may appear different to the room I am about to describe now. As I walked into my room 1301 on the left had side was a room service cupboard and on your right was a half bath (toilet & sink), straight ahead was a dining room table with three chairs, don't worry, there was a fourth, it was being used at the desk. Above the desk was a large screen TV.  A couch on the right and as mentioned there was a desk and beside that was a counter that held a coffee maker, kettle, Nespresso machine. Below the top shelf were cups and saucers, teas, sugar, and such. The bar fridge was stalked with water, pop, and various beers. My favorite was two cookie and cream chocolate bars that were replaced everyday along with a bag of potato chips. Did I mention Butler Service, yes, the Butler service.

Now let’s move into the bedroom and full bath. This room was huge, a king size bed with a bathtub in the middle of the bathroom. His and her closets as I call it, a in room safe along with a portable clothes steamer. His and her sinks, a movable towel stand, an enclosed toilet and an enclosed shower.

Let us move out to the balcony, at one end is the jacuzzi, a table with two chairs and a round lounger. There was sliding doors from both the bedroom and the Livingroom out to the balcony.

Let’s talk about the restaurants on site and I tried them all except for Kabuki- Hibachi and Japanese Restaurant, not for a lack of trying. i did eat at the steak house, Don Jaume, the Mexican restaurant El Marachi Loco, Il Bottaccio- Italian Restaurant, Flavors -Main Buffet, Mar House=Seaside Buffet & Restaurant, Bistro-French Restaurant. MCJESTIC--Fast Food. I must say that I enjoyed all the food, however, I went to El Marachi Loca twice for dinner and Il Bottaccio twice.   There is so much to choose from, and you can even grab a burger on your way to the beach.

White sandy beach, the Caribbean Sea or you may just like to relax in one of the 12 pools in the resort. For those staying in the Adult Club section you have 7 exclusive pools along with several swim up bars. There is always something to do during the day and at night. The entertainment is top notch. If you really want to treat yourself then you need to check out the two-story Majestic Spa.
